Ambassador of Georgia held a farewell meeting with the Prime Minister of Estonia

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the republic of Estonia Tea Akhvlediani held a farewell meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Estonia Jüri Ratas on May 22. Ambassador congratulated Mr. Ratas on re-appointment on the position of Prime Minister and wished him success in future activities. In addition, Tea Akhvlediani thanked Mr.Ratas for his personal efforts in Estonia’s active support towards Georgia.

Ambassador summed up the results of bilateral cooperation; In addition, she discussed the possible ways of further development of Georgian-Estonian relations. Alongside with the discussion on the issues of Georgia's EU integration and NATO membership, Ambassador of Georgia drew the attention towards the existing situation in Georgia's occupied regions and the occupation line, as well as the recent alarming developments there.  Tea Akhvlediani emphasized the importance of Estonia's strong support towards Georgia's national priorities.

The Prime Minister of Estonia thanked Ambassador of Georgia for her significant efforts to deepen Georgian-Estonian relations. Estonian Prime Minister provided high assessment to the results achieved by the developed bilateral cooperation. Jüri Ratas once again stressed the unwavering support of the new government of Estonia towards Georgia, especially with regards to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country within the internationally recognized borders, as well as Georgia's integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures.
