Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Estonia Tea Akhvlediani held a farewell meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia, Urmas Reinsalu on May 22. Ambassador congratulated Mr. Reinsalu on appointment on the position of Foreign Minister and wished him success in future activities. In addition, Tea Akhvlediani thanked Mr.Reinsalu for his personal efforts in Estonia’s active support towards Georgia in the capacity of Minister of Justice during the last several years, as well as after taking the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs.
At the meeting Ambassador summed up the results of cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats since the year 2014 that received a high assessment from Minister’s side as well. In this context, Urmas Reinsalu thanked Ambassador of Georgia for her significant efforts to deepen Georgian-Estonian relations.
In addition, Tea Akhvlediani informed the Estonian side about the progress achieved with regards to Georgia's EU integration and NATO membership, the security situation in the country and the alarming developments in the occupied regions.
Urmas Reinsalu once again stressed the unwavering support of the new government of Estonia towards Georgia, especially with regards to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country within the internationally recognized borders, as well as Georgia's integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures.
