Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Estonia, H.E. Mr. Archil Karaulashvili held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Estonia H.E. Mr. Jüri Ratas.
The Ambassador and Prime Minister highlighted the friendly relations and intensive cooperation between Georgia and Estonia both in bilateral and multilateral formats. At the same time, they underlined the need to fully exploit the existing economic potential and expressed desire to further activate the exchange of high level visits.
The situation in the occupied regions of Georgia was discussed during the meeting. The Prime Minister of Estonia expressed support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and emphasized that Estonia is using every possible platform to ensure international support for Georgia. In this context, the importance of Estonia’s non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council was highlighted.
Other topics of discussion included the progress Georgia has achieved on its path to membership into the EU and NATO. The Prime Minister reaffirmed that Estonia will continue supporting Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
Ambassador Karaulashvili expressed gratitude for Estonia’s firm and unwavering support in all issues of vital importance to Georgia.
