Teimuraz Janjalia has met with the adviser to the Prime Minister of Estonia

On 23 November 2022, within the framework of his working visit to the Republic of Estonia, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Teimuraz Janjalia met with the Estonian Prime Minister’s Foreign Policy Adviser, Liis Lipre-Järma.
 
Discussing the current issues relating to Georgia-Estonia cooperation, the sides highlighted the need to deepen the political dialogue with the Estonian side at various levels, including the importance of regularly exchanging high-level visits.
 
Discussions focused on Georgia’s European integration. Teimuraz Janjalia spoke in detail about Georgia’s progress in fulfilling both the obligations under the association agenda and the European Union’s  recommendations.
 
The sides exchanged views on security challenges facing the region in the light of Russia's war against Ukraine. Teimuraz Janjalia provided the Prime Minister's adviser with detailed information about political, diplomatic and humanitarian assistance provided by Georgia to Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. He  emphasized the importance of the international community’s strong and united position to deal with the existing threats.
 
Special emphasis was placed on the security and human rights situation in the occupied territories of Georgia. The deputy minister emphasized the importance of actively keeping the issues related to Georgia high on the agenda of European partners.
 
The adviser to the Prime Minister, for his part, confirmed Estonia's firm support to Georgia on the path of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as in terms of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
